Hello Monday! I hope y’all had a great weekend and start to your week so far. I’ve been so excited to share this post with you all. For those of you that are new here (welcome!!!), Alex and I had a trip to Lake Louise/Banff this past September for the second year in a row. Our first trip, Alex proposed to me right on Lake Louise which was so special and this spot will forever hold the closest place in our hearts!
When we were planning our return back, we knew that we wanted to stay at Lake Louise Inn again since we had the best stay last year. You can read here for last year’s full post on our stay! The Inn was so welcoming the first time and we couldn’t wait to come back for another long weekend!
We flew into Calgary, which is about a two hour drive from Lake Louise, so we rented a car and drove in. Honestly, the drive isn’t bad at all especially since you’re surrounded by mountain views and so excited to get to your destination. We checked into our hotel around 2-3pm and of course, Lake Louise Inn was so welcoming and left us the sweetest surprise and a welcome note! They truly know how to make your entire experience a memorable one.
How stunning is this lobby at Lake Louise Inn? It was completely renovated last year and these massive windows make for the perfect view of the mountains! Their entire property is surrounded by mountain views and tucked right into the village of Lake Louise. You’re super close to the lake, it’s about a 5-7 minute car ride from the Inn so every morning we woke up and drove right there. There’s also a little strip mall right across the street from the Inn. It’s close to everything! Especially since the village of Lake Louise is so small and quaint.
They serve Starbucks coffee and tea right inside their lobby so it’s the perfect spot to come cozy up and grab a drink to warm up from the cold. This time we visited, it wasn’t nearly as cold as last time! The temperatures were still in low 50s to high 40s but it felt waaaay colder. Last year in October, we were hit with a beautiful snow storm and the temperature was below freezing so this time we were able to explore a little more!
Lake Louise Inn also has other dining options on their property. Legends Restaurant is open 7-days a week and offer a buffet-breakfast in the mornings. We really enjoyed grabbing a quick bite here before heading out for the days! This time around, we ended up being so tired on our last night at Lake Louise, we ordered takeout Timberwolf Pizza and Pasta Cafe, which is another dining option on the property. It was delicious!
We had the pleasure of staying in a newly renovated room with a Loft this time around! Lake Louise Inn has the most stunning renovated rooms y’all. I thought our room last year was beautiful… but when I walked upstairs and saw our loft this past month… I was in awe!
Right when you walk into the room, you see the full kitchen, which is a great thing to add if you’re staying with your family for a longer duration and want to do dinners or lunches in the room. There’s a guest bedroom with bunkbeds off of the hallway leading into the kitchen… perfect for kids!
On the opposite side of the bunk beds is a dresser with a T.V. so the kids are able to watch whatever while you and whomever want to be either in the living room or the bedroom up in the loft.
The main living space consists of a couch, coffee table and TV console and TV. The couch folds out into a bed so this room sleeps plenty! We were joking around that we could have brought our whole family and slept comfortably. It’s a great room for a family with a few kids or even if you wanted to go with friends. There’s a little table and chairs looking off the balcony on the end of the room which is perfect for coffee in the mornings.
Here’s the view from walking up the stairs and overlooking the entire main space downstairs! I was standing at the open “window” that’s in the loft. Such a pretty space!
Here is the loft! I absolutely loved this space since it felt like a ‘mountain lodge’ with all the wood paneling and pretty warm tones. It felt like home instantly to us and we feel so comfortable here. I don’t think I mentioned this above but right off the kitchen was a full bathroom with a shower for the guests staying down there. We also had a full bath right off of our room up here!
The bathrooms were both obviously updated/renovated as well. They did an amazing job decorating their new rooms and picking everything out to feel super homey! The bathroom on the first floor had a tub while this was a stand-up shower. The tub would be great for the kids while the master of course for the adults.
I’ve been getting a ton of questions on price range and budget for traveling to Lake Louise and staying at Lake Louise Inn so I wanted to cover that for you! While we did stay in a suite and a loft… The Inn does have smaller rooms that are less for those who want to travel here and aren’t planning on spending much time in their room! Totally understandable and I think Lake Louise Inn is such a great, affordable option since it is right in the heart of Lake Louse Village. They have options that are under $200/night and then the suites will be upwards of $200-$400/night depending on the space that you need or desire!
Our exact room that we stayed in was the One Bedroom Condo with Loft. It sleeps 8-people total and includes one queen bed, one queen murphy bed, one single over double bunk bed and one single trundle bed. It’s 642 sq. feet and super spacious! You can check availability, here.
I want to say a major thank you to Lake Louise Inn for hosting us again this year and making our yearly trip to Banff/Lake Louise an amazing one! Here is the post from our last year travels in case you missed it!

I’ve been thinking about booking a weekend getaway to Vermont for my boyfriend and I. It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy the foliage and small-town festivities. We don’t get much of that as New Yorkers. Lake Louise Inn and its surroundings look so beautiful. I may consider this one day. x
