What I’m Packing for Italy

We are headed to…. ITALY! Y’all I can’t even believe that we are headed to Rome. It’s been so unreal to me until earlier this week. Alex and I have been planning this vacation for about a year now and it’s finally here!! I wanted to share a peek inside of what I’m packing and my must haves for the trip. I’ve included some of my favorite summer pieces along with the bags I decided to bring, a few sun-hats, favorite sandals and what jewelry I have to have!

I found my suitcase in a set of two on Gilt for such an amazing price! I know luggage can get kind of expensive so I was pretty happy when I spotted this set. I also included Alex’s luggage (silver version) for the same price point! You get the carry-on and the larger luggage when you get the set of two.

I’m no pro when it comes to packing but I wanted to share a few of my tips with y’all that I have learned over time when it comes to fitting in a weeks worth of clothes into one checked bag:
1. Roll all of your clothing – this helps keep your clothing organized and also saves a bunch of room! This was one of the first things I started doing traveling and now I can’t imagine packing any other way.
2. Put all of your shoes into bags – I always keep duster bags from whatever (handbags, shoes, any other item that comes with them!) and I store all of my shoes into separate bags before putting them into my suitcase. It keeps the dirt from the bottom away from all of your clothes just in case!
3. I always always travel with hats – y’all know how much I love a good hat. It’s so easy to ruin the shape when shoving hats into your suitcase so I found this trick online and all you do is “stack” the hats together, stuff them with soft items (I usually do socks or scarves) and put the hat in the center of your suitcase. I make sure there is a hole the size of the crown of the hat in the center of my suitcase and I just drop the hat down so it doesn’t get crushed while traveling. It’s hard to explain so if you girls have any questions – just leave a comment and I’ll be sure to answer it!
4. Stuff your bags with soft items I tend to bring more than a few bag options (girl problems, lol) so when I pack them I make sure they don’t take up any unnecessary room in my suitcase. I am bringing this adorable backpack (under $50!) and this straw crossbody so when I packed them, I made sure to stuff my bras, underwear and any other small softer items so that they don’t get squished or lose their shape when traveling. They barely take up any room then!

One thing that I never forget to bring on trips during the warmer weather are my Miller Sandals. These are my absolute most comfortable pair of shoes that I own and they are worth every penny. I have them in “Vanchetta” and “Makeup” along with the jelly mini miller version that were released this year.
These simple slides are from last year but I seriously am obsessed with them. They’re so easy to slide on and off. I brought them to the beach and ended up wearing them 24/7 just since I didn’t care about them as much as my Miller sandals (more affordable option!). I’ve linked all of my favorite/everyday sandals for you below! Some affordable and also the Miller Sandals I’m always talking about – definitely worth the money if you want to invest in them!

I’ve been using my T3 tools for over a year now and I absolutely love this dryer. I don’t go anywhere without this blowdryer & my T3 whirl trio wand. I use the largest barrel that comes with the wand set and usually bring that one during my travels. It leaves the best beach waves that last throughout the entire day!

I know you girls have seen/heard me talking about Tula products so I wanted to be sure I mentioned that I don’t go anywhere without these four products! These are the ones I’ve been trying out for the past few months and love all of them. The purifying cleanser is a probiotic and works with all skin types! Even Alex uses it everyday (I used to get so mad at him when he used it but it’s helped clear up his skin!!)  so now I don’t mind and understand why he uses it, obviously!
I use the mask about 2-3 times a week depending on how much I’m traveling. It is so great for dry or tired skin – it nourishes it and brings it back to life! One of my favorite masks that I’ve ever used since it’s also just so easy. I throw it on and sometimes even sleep with it depending on how bad my skins gotten. I use the toner & this moisturizer every single day (morning & night) and love the combo.

I would have never even thought about these packing tips! Rolling your clothes, stuffing underwear, etc. into purses/small bags, and using dust bags for shoes! Such great tips! Will definitely be using for my next trip. Love this!! Have so much fun in Italy! Ive been twice and theres nothing like it. If I could live anywhere in Europe, it would 100% be Italy!
