Happy 2014 to you all! I am starting this new year off fresh, starting with a new blog design! I love the simplicity of it. It focuses on the content and photographs, which is exactly what I wanted. New year means new resolutions! I can only hope that 2014 is as amazing as 2013 was to me. It was full of growth, happiness, challenges, overcoming things that I thought I could never accomplishment! It was one of the best years to date, and I can only thank those around me for giving me the push that I needed. I hope 2014 is amazing to you all, and just remember never give up on your dreams!
I had mentioned before how I am totally obsessing over oversized sweaters lately. This would be one of them. The fringe detail gives it a more laid-back look. I paired it with cozy leggings and my favorite leg warmers. These boots are actually from Charlotte Russe and my first pair of black boots! (Well, other than my combats). I have never had a nice pair of black boots to wear on the daily. I am a huge fan of them!

Beginning a new year always comes with new resolutions. I wanted to share a few of my new years resolutions with you…
1. Have more patience. I am always so busy and used to the pace I set for myself that I forget to have patience for those around me. I would love to be able to relax in the moment and have way more patience!
2. Spend more time with the people I care about. Working is important and all, but when it comes down to it, people are more important. I want to spend more time with my family and friends this year and less time worrying about what work to get done, all the time. Don’t get me wrong – I am a very hard worker and will get the job done, but I can also set aside time for other things!
3. Think before acting/speaking. This is a big one for me. I am not afraid to say things in front of anyone and it gets me in trouble most of the time. I would love to think for a moment before voicing my thoughts and opinions.

Oh love these types of outfits.. perfectly cozy and totally chic at the same time! I've been thinking what my resolutions will be and I still haven't come up with them yet… I know I have goals but I almost don't want to make them a resolution so that maybe I'll actually do them? Love the distressed detailing on the sweater. I agree with your third resolution, I also have the whole think before you speak problem. I think it's good that you're not afraid to say what you want, but that it also depends on the situation at hand. Sometimes it's appropriate, others not so much. And sometimes it just needs a bit of rewording to make it appropriate.

Then I enrolled my son in the school that I had wooed for one year and half. I also had an amazing vacation in Cuba with my family. And besides all of that, it has also been my astrological year according to the Chinese calendar, the Snake's year. 🙂
For 2014 I hope to publish my second book, and I already started working on it. Another resolution of mine is to visit my home country. These are my biggest plans for this year, and beyond that, I hope for the best. 🙂
