My Very First Blog Post

One of my goals has always been to create my own blog, and let me tell you… I am so excited to get this started. I have been contemplating on how to begin, and what to first write about, which got me thinking.. Everyone has their own opinions and out looks on what the word “fashion” really means – so in this very first post of mine, I am going to talk about what this means to me. Fashion, to me, could be anything from someones lifestyle and decisions they make from day to day, to what the most obvious answer would be, their clothing they chose to put on. When you look up the word on the Internet, what comes up first is this: “fashion”: a style or garment, that is in current mode. So what is this telling people? What I got out of this definition, is that fashion is styles or garments that are in current trend. This is not what fashion is all about. Now, although, this might be a big part of it, yes, it is not all of it. Fashion to me, is when someones personality is shining through their clothing, you can see it in the way they act, talk, walk, where ever they go. Clothing does not make a person, the person should make the clothing. Everyone is different, which means everyone has their own sense of style. They are comfortable with wearing certain types of clothing, colors, fits, cuts. And that is the beauty of it. Everyone is different.. Everyone should be comfortable in their own skin.
