Holiday Home Tour 2018

Happy Wednesday girls! This is such a nice little short week (for most). I’m SO excited that tomorrow is Thanksgiving which means… Christmas is right around the corner!! Anyone else as excited as I am?? 🙂 Don’t get me wrong — I love Thanksgiving and all the family time and food that comes along with it but the holidays are definitely the best. The lights, the atmosphere everywhere, the music, the decor and all the festivities. It’s just the best!!

I’m so excited to share this years holiday decor with you girls. I’ve been decorating for the past few weeks trying to get everything in order for this post so it would go live before y’all start to decorate + shop! I wanted to get this up right in time for you to shop the Black Friday deals (the home deals are amazing, too!!). I’ll be posting my Black Friday Sales Round-up tonight at midnight so be sure to use that as your ultimate-guide on the best sales happening! I’m choosing my favorites from the websites and also creating mini gift guides throughout. So excited to share that with y’all too!

I have broken down our holiday home decor into the three rooms that I’m sharing with you today! Each one will talk about everything I added and when I got it from (if I’m not able to link it!). You girls know how much I love a good Home Goods trip so the pieces I grabbed from there, I tried to find but some of them aren’t online and don’t have lookalikes so I’ll let you know what those are! Any questions, feel free to comment below! xoxo

The Master Bedroom

For the bedroom, I like to keep our decor simple since Alex and I both want a peaceful and serene master bedroom to retreat to. We love neutrals but as you can see, I added some pop of colors into here this season! The Merry pillow is from Home Goods about three or four years ago, my mom ended up buying us this as a Christmas gift when we first moved in together! I like to add it to either an arm chair or this year, our bedroom. I found two similar pillows online though that look identical and are just as cute for a little pop of holiday color!

I’ve been getting a ton of questions about where our bed is from! We found it earlier this year at Value City Furniture from their Tribeca Collection. We have the grey (it looks a lot lighter online but I promise, ours is the grey!). We also have the two drawers on the footboard. There is an option for four drawer storage but we just decided to go with the two to save space!

My mom shot this photo of Toby and I had to include it in the tour… he’s getting so big! And healing… thank god!

We add these mini flocked trees to around our apartment during the winter months (I like to keep them up even after the holidays are over to add greenery and “winter decor” still). This little tree is only $3!! I am very surprised I found it online actually since it’s so affordable. It comes in a medium and a large version as well for a bit more but I just love the mini versions added throughout!

These mini trees are one of the items that I unfortunately can’t link but just since they were from the Target Dollar Spot! I snagged each of these for only $1 (crazy, too since Opalhouse trees are $10/tree!!). I love how small and colorful they are so I bought these three for our bedroom and another set of three for my office… which you will see soon!

Home Office

You girls know that I love my pink toned office so I kept it very pink with other neutrals for the holidays! I’m seriously in love with this mini white Christmas tree for a countertop – it’s only $8 and such a cute, simple piece to add to any room! I bought the 25ct ornament pack that matched our ornaments for our actual Christmas tree and they were only $3 for the entire pack! It did take me about 25 minutes putting all of the strings on them and tying them but totally worth it. The ornament pack comes in a variety of colors, too so it’s not only these! The mini tree also comes in a gold version and a silver version. I liked the white with my office decor but all three are so so cute!

It might be hard to see since it was daylight outside but I wrapped my favorite twinkle lights around the tree so it could have a little more detail and light up in the evenings! It’s seriously so cute and I’m in love with it. I get the twinkle lights that have the option to be steady, twinkle and fade. They are a little more than the twinkling ones but I think it’s worth it!

I downloaded this “hello, sweater weather” wallpaper from Lily & Val’s website (for those that have been following, y’all know I loved their ‘hello fall’ desktop and iphone wallpaper, too!!). They have the cutest wallpapers that are free to download. I love their prints, too!

Another Target Dollar Spot find… these rose gold star lights! They were $5 and I love them. Super cute for flatlays and things like that but also to add to your holiday decor!

Living Room

I saved the longest for last! This is where I get the most questions from you girls! I’ve linked everything that I could find online but if I missed something on accident, feel free to ask me about where it’s from in the comments! I’d be happy to link it in the post 🙂

Our Christmas Tree is 7.5ft, pre-lit and flocked when you purchase it. It’s seriously such a good price being under $170. It has pine cone details already throughout which I adore! We bought ours last year and I’m so glad that we did. It’s very easy to assemble (I set up the tree every year myself since Alex isn’t huge into decorating and I have no problems with it!). I get some questions asking if the tree sheds at all and only a little bit when you are setting it up. I go in with our vacuum right after and sweep it up once I’m done and it’s good after that!

We have a galvanized metal tree skirt that I also bought last year but unfortunately it’s sold out. Luckily, those are trending so I found an identical match to ours for a great price (on sale this week!). I like to add holiday pillows around the tree along with this white faux fur blanket to add extra warmth and cozy vibes.

For our tree decor, I like to keep it neutral with pops of champagne tones and blush tones. We have all the same decor as we did last year and I didn’t buy any new ornaments which I was so happy about! I found all of our ornaments (the bulbs at least) at Home Goods last season but Target has great color palettes for $15 and they are in sets of 50. The blush and champagne pack and also an all gold pack

The glitter “picks” that I add throughout are from Michael’s and I grabbed them on sale for around $2/pick. They are super affordable when you go at the right time! Same goes for our glittered pine cones – same spot and great price. I like the texture and depth it adds to the tree. I think next year I’ll add more throughout but I’m good with the simplicity it has now.

My holiday figurines might be my favorite part of adding our decor out every year — I found this cute little mouse at Home Goods last season but I found an almost identical one online!! There is a male and a female version and both are so cute. I also love to collect Santa’s (a tradition my mom started and she gifts me a new one every year!). All of my current Santa’s were found at Home Goods and I would suggest stopping there before buying online. They can be so pricey when you order online and mine are only $19.99 and so cute!

We added two more stockings this year for our pups and I’m so glad that we did! I love how full the fireplace looks now… makes it feel more “homey” and warm. I went with the full faux fur ones for the boys since they went with our pompoms on ours. The snowflake holders are from the same place and only $15 for the set of two!

Another floral found from Michael’s! These are a little more than the tree picks but I love how tall and beautiful they are. I think there are 5 total in this vase and it’s a great accent for a side table!

This three-tiered stand is the best centerpiece, hands down! I love decorating it from season to season and adding new elements to it. It’s currently on sale right now for under $50! I found most of the pieces that we put in here in a pack for $10 at Home Goods! (Shocker, I know, lol!). Target also has the packs of centerpiece decor!

Thank you so much, Amanda! I fluffed up the branches and spread them all out before adding any decorations/ornaments to mine! It takes some time but is totally worth it 🙂
