These homemade high-waisted shorts only costed me five dollars! Believe it or not… my roommates and I decided we wanted to go to the thrift store and see if we could find any old denim jeans we could turn into shorts! We hit the jackpot, and all three of us scored two pairs for five bucks each! I chose this light denim, and I also now have a black denim pair, too! I threw on this plain tan tank, which gives it a very casual Summer look, just enough to run around and get some daily errands done. These studded sandals are easy to slip on, but add a statement to each outfit.
For the shorts, all we did was cut them a little longer than the length we wanted to end with, and roll ’em up! To avoid cutting them too short, I tried them on and marked the length I was going to cut. After you cut the first leg, put the two legs together and cut the second so they are the same and not uneven. After you are finished cutting, put them on and roll them up to your liking! I just rolled mine twice to get rid of the cut edge, and I love the length I ended up with! Best five dollars spent!
