Hi, I’m Makayla! I’m an Ohio born and raised gal who started Fashionably Kay in 2013 while attending college at KSU. I created this page to share fashion and beauty favorites for fun as an outlet… never knowing the potential it would have ten years later. This last March officially marked a decade of Fashionably Kay and I can’t even wrap my head around that!
A lot has changed since 2013 but also has remained the same. I’m now married to my better half, Alex that I’ve been with for over eight years now. We welcomed our baby (boy) in 2021 and he’s now 2.5 years old. It’s been our greatest journey yet. While I’ve taken on this new role of motherhood, I still love sharing what brought me here in the first place. Everyday outfits, beauty finds, home decor + now everyday motherhood.
Meet my husband, Alex and our sweet boy, Oliver. We love sharing glimpses into our daily life with you all. We currently live in a suburb of Cleveland with all of our fur babies. We have a Goldendoodle (Tucker), a Golden Retriever (Toby), a cat (Stark) and a new kitten we rescued (Simon/Douglas). While it feels like a zoo at times, we love our not so little family!
We would love to build our dream home someday but for now we enjoy updating our little split level home. Not sure what the future holds for us and where we will end up but we are enjoying the process of finding out. We are so glad you are here!
